I hope you recall that bear before something unfortunate happens.
Thanks for the comment on HellsColdDay. I got your book in the mail, very nice. Did you take the pictures?

YES! I took those pics! In some ways, my life is VERY exciting right now. Not only am I realizing a dream to be an author, but I am also a photographer as well!!! :) hee hee some of my pics are still amateurish, but what I find exciting about amateur photography is I can take pictures no one else in the world can take! so yes, I am having lots of fun writing and illustrating.
Also, my boyfriend and I recently bought rockband for Wii, so I am excercising my musical artistry as well ha ha! actually, i think the tech has a little to go before rockband will be up to actual jam level.. but it's pretty fun.
Also, about the bear.. at UGA I started having these nightmares about huge bears terrorizing me! It was so scary.. it got my attention and after thinking about it.. I realized the bear is my mama bear, protecting her babies so they can survive in the wilds of the world. The bear is a ferocious aspect of my personality that is often at odds wth societal forces. In a broken system, this has proven to be an invaluable source of strength and power for me.
So when I wrote that haiku, I was trying to capture how the bear is still big and powerful and sometimes scary, but despite that, it is an important part of myself that I'm working on incorporating back into my life. then, when something unfortunate happens, my bear will come busting outta the closet and save the day!! :)
